Cheers! Thanks for a great HPM season everyone. Photo by Ben Hoskins

I’d like to thank everyone who participated in the Hopkinton Prone Matches this year, it was a very enjoyable summer of shooting and eating! Last night’s party was no exception…good friends, good food, and good shooting made for a great night. I have lots of pictures and video from last night’s event and I will post them as soon as I sift through them all.

Len Remaly took third place last night with a 397-31x, Ralph Copley took second with a 400-24x and Erik Hoskins took first with a 400-34x. Complete results are here. Also of note, both Margot Lee and John Payton shot personal bests last night.

Dan, great time last night, steaks were awesome, the company was even better. Now what am I going to do on Thursday night? Well at least till the winter league starts.
Have a great weekend everybody, see you ALL at the Fall Foliage Match!

Sounded like your conditions on Wednesday were pretty tuff!

I find Hopkinton hard to learn from. If conditions aren't dead they are swirling. Not a bad experience to have under your belt, but I have rarely seen similar conditions on other ranges.

Thank You Dan for hosting an excellent season. We lookforward to spring when it starts again!
Thany You to all the excellent competitors for you coaching and companionship.

Last weeks "Steak Banquet" was the last in a summer of outstanding HPM matches, dinners and nice people to talk to. The quality of competition was outstanding in both shooting and pizza eating, with the youngsters edging out the older folks in the latter. Overall the matches were as fun as any I have attended in 25 states over 50 years.

As someone who knows how hard it is to run good matches, I want to thank Dan for all the extensive effort he made to make the matches good competition followed by great parties.
