Yup, it’s hard to believe but it’s that time of year again! Team housing reservations should be postmarked between March 1, 2010 and March 31, 2010.
Although the cover of this month’s American Rifleman makes no mention of Camp Perry, there is a recap of the 2009 smallbore results written by pronematch.com’s own Hap Rocketto!
I came across this cool HDR image on Flickr of the cannon at Camp Perry. In 2008, myself and Erik Hoskins were squadded right in front cannon during smallbore prone. Each morning before our National Anthem, we were treated to an eye-popping blast and a cloud of smoke…ah, I can still smell the sulfur!
pronematch.com has once again slurped, sucked, and gathered all of the 2009 Camp Results off of the NRA server and archived them on our servers. We have the 2007, 2008 and 2009 results archived. Peliminary results look the Joe Hein is the 2009 National prone champion with a 4790-355. Congratulations!
Great conditions today led to 8 “clean” scores and Shane Barnhart won the day with a 1200-110X. Awards are at 8pm.
Shane Barnhart tried for the National Record this afternoon. He shot a 400-40x plus 2. The current record is 400-40x plus 10.
Today is the last day of the smallbore National Matches. We’ll be shooting any sights today. Relay 2 starts in 15 minutes. Blue Sky and light winds are the current conditions.
