What follows is a letter from J. William Carter, Chairman of the NRA Smallbore Committee addressed to members of the smallbore shooting community.
Ladies and Gentlemen:
In last Thursday’s mail I received the “Presidents Trophy” plaque for the largest percentage growth at the 2012 National Smallbore Metric Championships. This plaque was presented to the Smallbore Rifle Committee during the NRA Winter Board of Directors Meeting which I was not able to attend; however, Vice Chair Patti Clark graciously accepted this award in my absence.
I am writing to you today because I wanted all of you to be aware of this accomplishment and that I am only the custodian of this award as it truly belongs to all of you who as competitive shooters and coaches stand shoulder to shoulder every weekend on the range advancing our agenda thus accomplishing growth in the smallbore community. This award also belongs to all of the Match Directors, Range Officers, Referees, Line Officers, Statisticians, as well as those moms and dads that have given up their own time to see that all of their children are provided with an opportunity to experience such a worthwhile and character building sport.
Because I cannot reach out to all that deserve recognition for this award I am asking that each of you please share this accomplishment with everyone you know that through their efforts they, all of you, have made this award possible.
