George Pantazelos sent me a note the other day about the Wentworth Rifle team match. George said that each competitor will get a free case of Eley Tenex (lot number of your choice)…kidding. Anyways, the invite is below and it looks like it’s open to anybody who wants to shoot a little bit and eat some pizza.

Wentworth Shooting Alumni and Friends of the Wentworth Rifle team are cordially invited to attend the Wentworth Alumni Rifle Match. We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to this year’s rifle team. What better way is there than a shoulder to shoulder match? So dust off your glasses and get ready for some offhand. Shooting will begin at 10 am on Saturday November 8th at the Braintree Rifle and Pistol Club and run until about 5pm. Rifles and Ammunition will be provided. All you need to bring is your hold. Those who don’t wish to shoot are invited to congregate and meet the team. Pizza and soda will be served for lunch.
Directions to Braintree Rifle and Pistol Club:
The club is located off of Liberty Street in Braintree,
just after the Disabled Veterans Hall (D.A.V.).
(From Route 3, exit at the Union Street exit, Braintree (by K-Mart/Best Buy Plaze).
If traveling north, bear right upon entering Union Street.
If traveling south, go around the rotary (under Route 3) to Union Street (near the Sunoco gas station), you will pass the Police Station on your left and the National Guard Armory on your right. Travel to the first set of lights and take a right (Middle Street).
Continue on this road and you will go under Route 3 (Middle Street becomes Liberty Street) and then come to a small rotary. Continue straight until you go up a hill. At the crest of the hill you will see the D.A.V. on your left and a roadway entrance for Liberty Woods Apartment/Condo Complex. Turn left onto the roadway for Liberty Woods. Travel for about fifty yards and at the first rotary you will see the club entrance roadway to your right.. This is the driveway to the Braintree Rifle & Pistol Club. Follow the driveway a short distance and you will come to the gate, clubhouse and parking area.
The best address to use for GPS is the intersection of Matthew Ln. and Liberty St. Braintree, MA. Take your first right off Matthew Ln. down the club’s driveway.
