Hi Hap,

Good story about shooting Olympic history. As for the Red Sox selling the Babmina, it was a curse till 2004 when they won the first world series since, as you said, 1919, 85 years earlier. The Sox won the series again in 2007. The way it looks thought, the Red Sox might go another 85 years before they win another World Series.

Thanks for the great stories of our shooting sports history. Just to add an update Launi is now coaching for The Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs,CO. and now Morgan Hicks who graduated from Murray State too… and also an All American and a Olypian… your story continues to grow doesn’t it.

let me clear something up in that statement from above post ..

I have been at a award dinner and just cringed at the words that where comeing out of one person mouth when ask about the sport and how does it effect gun control ..for the person said gun control is about hitting your target

I to think like you in this area if going to a awards dinner look like the part and wear the right style of cloths ..

For men suit and tie dress along with dress shoes ..not hikeing boots or cowboy boots look and dress the part of sporting gentlemen

For women a dress with heels and make up and hair done ..not a pant suit ..look the part of a well heeled lady in front of the press

Most of all talk and act like you got a brain in your head when talking to the media people and try not to sound like a stupid redneck with a gun ..

Iam from south texas and i been to a few awards dinners in my time and it allways get me when you see the awards winners talking to the local tv media along with the newpaper reporters and the people on tv they sound like a bunch of backwoods rednecks who can not put two words togerther to form a sentence ..

Try to give sport a little glitz and glamour to the sport and not look like a brunch of rednecks that the tv media image of us to the rest of the world they really do think that at times about american gun owners as it is ..so try and look and at least at like a gentlemen and ladys for that night ..For most gunowners are look at in this day and age of the tv mdeia spotlight as a bunch of inbred rednecks with guns that like to kill things ..

Sorry for comeing down so hard on post but we as gun owners here in America has to start to clean up our image to the rest of the world
