Yesterday was the 2009 Digby Hand Invitational (The Mexican Stand-Off). Thanks to Hap Rocketto, Steve Rocketto, Shawn Carpenter, and everyone who helped to make the day a success. The Road Kill Chili was especially ripe this year. Here are a few pics that I took, Steve Rocketto will be sending me some of his pictures [...]
Last night was the RI awards banquet at Varnum Armory. 80 degrees and bright blue sky set the stage for a great evening of steak, laughter, and awards. Thanks to Joe Graf for organizing the event, it went off without a hitch.

The Harvard Sportsmen’s Club in Harvard, MA needs more shooters for their Summer Biathlon Team, the “Fisher Cats”. They compete against the ”Mountaineers” of Holderness, NH. Safety is the top priority followed by fun in that order. The 2 programs are separate and run independently.
We had 15 shooters at the match last night which is an all-time record for us. We had a great time, it was a little cool and the wind was a bit tricky but it was great to get outside. If you attended last night’s match, check yourself for ticks. Fred Beihold said he picked up [...]

We’ve got 16 17 19 people planning on attending this Thursday’s match–not bad for a Thursday night! I’m going to order pizza from Dino’s instead of doing burgers so people don’t have to wait too long to eat (plus it will free me up to socialize). I’ll bring my “World Famous BBQ Salad” as a side dish. Don’t [...]
Well it was a long and cold winter here in a New England. After grudgingly spending the entire winter shooting on cold and dirty indoor ranges, I finally managed to sneak over to the outdoor range today. Wow, was it refreshing to get outdoors again! It was a bit strange to be dealing with wind [...]
